We have designed and gained planning approval for a variety of agricultural and equestrian buildings.
For farmers, security is now a vital factor and large barns with lockable, secure doors are a necessity if expensive equipment is to be kept safe. Agricultural buildings are usually subject to different planning requirements to residential developments and we can advise on what is required.
In addition, with modern farming machinery, older buildings and barns are often not suitable in terms of size. Partial or open fronted buildings may be an option and can more easily be used for both hay and straw storage, as well as providing undercover areas for farming equipment.
Equine facilities such as stable blocks, storage barns, menages and indoor schools will also require planning approval. There are important aspects to consider, such as access arrangements, conservation or special landscape area restrictions, which can impact upon a proposal site. We will undertake a free, initial project appraisal to discuss with you the best way forward.
